Let me explain myself, in some audio log in OpFor, a scientist said that the creature/weapon can only hook to organic surfaces, which is true. The Barnacle weapon was a really cool weapon in OpFor, but i found it kinda lacking context to be used, it only used as a grapple in some situations and also it's semi-melee weapon that a lot of people not use at all for a a lot of reasons, but what if you add physics to it ? What if you make it HL2 Barnacle ? Just like Black Mesa for HL, this remake is supposed to be reimagining rather than a straight faithful remake, which is good, and also necessary, porting an old HL game to Source means a lot of things have to change, the inclusion of physics alone makes the game completely different as you can witness in Black Mesa, so all in all, it's open to new ideas, and i have one that is, i think interesting, just thing about it, The Barnacle weapon !!
